Club Equipment Bookings
The Edmonton Section of the Alpine Club of Canada offers club equipment for use by our Trip Leaders when leading a club approved trip. All equipment bookings must be made through the Safety Director. Details on this process as well as a listing of current equipment can be found below the booking availability calendar.

The following calendar can be used to quickly check for equipment availability. Any kits that are booked will be listed for that day.

Booking for club equipment will be done as follows:
- The Equipment will be booked by a trip leader by emailing the Safety Director.
- Bookings will only be for ACC Edmonton section approved trips with details being listed on the trip schedules.
- The equipment will be issued on the basis of he who books first will get it, therefore it is suggested that all equipment be booked shortly after approval of the trip schedule.
- All ropes are now numbered with their current length (54m) being the shortest, if this is an issue please request an appropriate rope number during booking.
- Please state the activity that the rope is being used for when booking– older non dry ropes for cragging / top roping and newer dry ropes for wet activities such ice climbing. This will extend the life of dry treatments.
- Please also state the dates that the equipment is required, must include the date of collection and days before the expected return, to dry and clean the equipment.
- Equipment may be withdrawn from Track ‘n Trail (TNT) during their normal opening times (see their website).
- The specific kit booked will be the kit issued by TNT staff.
- The shop staff will expect to see a copy of the booking email from the equipment manager and an ACC member card before they will issue equipment.
- Please treat the ropes as you own – use tarps to protect and keep them clean and bags to prevent damage or contamination with chemicals whist they are being transported.
- If the equipment is damaged or lost, this must be reported to the Safety Director immediately, to prevent further booking until it is replaced or repaired.
- These kits must be returned to TNT as they were received -
dry, clean and in good repair. - Please ensure that the kit is returned with tag attached, please replace these if they are lost or damaged as they are used to identify and book equipment.
- Batteries for equipment must be provided by the leader or trip participant and be removed on return of the equipment.
